FOOTBALL INTERMEDIARY TRAINING PROGRAMME – CBF ACADEMY
At the invitation of the coordinators of the CBF Academy’s Football Intermediaries Training Programme – Roberto Barracco and Felipe Pestana – manager Fabio Mello delivered a lecture on “Career management for coaches”. In it, Fabio briefly discussed the importance of professionalism in the representation market and then addressed points regarding the career management of coaches. He went deeper into the subject by dissecting the Vagner Mancini case, going through his entire career history and explaining the strategies and values used in each of the decisions he made during his career.
He also explained how to attract a new coach, using real cases from the company as examples. Finally, he presented important points that should be used in cases of possible conflicts of interest and crisis management.
FOOTBALL EXECUTIVE TRAINING PROGRAMME – CBF ACADEMY
At the invitation of the coordinator of the CBF Academy’s Football Executive Training Programme – Heloísa Rios – manager Fabio Mello delivered a lecture on “The role and importance of the football agent”.
In it, as well as discussing some of FMS’s trajectory, he unraveled the control mechanisms it currently uses to manage the more than 40 players in the company’s portfolio. He then listed some real cases involving players and how the relationship with the Football Executive was decisive for the positive outcome of the operations/career plans, whether in a transfer or in crisis management scenario.

TRAINING COURSE FOR ATHLETES’ AGENTS – TREVISAN
At the invitation of the coordinator of the Athlete Agent Training Course at Trevisan Business School, manager Fabio Mello presented a lecture on “Athlete and agent: career transition, adaptations, and experiences”. During the lecture, Fabio went through details of his career as an athlete and the transition he made to work off the field as an agent. He discussed his academic preparation and the challenges he faced. At the end, he explained the company’s work and brought real cases to illustrate the stages of the process of attracting a player to the company.
MBA BUSINESS IN SPORT AND SPORTS LAW – CEDIN CENTRE OF INTERNATIONAL LAW AND BUSINESS
At the invitation of the coordinators of the MBA Business in Sport and Sports Law – Leonardo Máximo and Luciano Brustolini – manager Fabio Mello gave a lecture on “Practical aspects of negotiations and transfers”. In it, the manager discussed the company’s entry into the market, the roles of an agent, and provided practical examples of important negotiating aspects for developing and implementing an appropriate career plan, citing some important negotiation points in each of the real cases discussed.
